About Board Game Matrix

Board Game Matrix was created by tabletop game enthusiasts, for tabletop game enthusiasts. We’ve been playing games since we emerged from the matrix ourselves, and we celebrate the board game renaissance that has transpired over the last couple of decades.

In 2020, we decided to apply our skills toward providing a fun new way to connect to board games online. We had the idea of “battling” board games against each other as a “gamified” way of discovering games, both old and new. Thus, the Board Game Battle was born. Board Game Battle displays two random board games drawn from a vast database of games new and old across myriad categories, recommended age ranges, and mechanisms. Board Game Battle players decide which of the rival games they’d rather play to declare a winner.

Board Game Matrix supplements Board Game Battles with board game reviews, blog posts, and board game videos. We will continue augmenting this web app and content over time.
